Puerta de Alcala is next to El Retiro

Parque de El Retiro (El Retiro) is a park near the city. Retiro is a good place to soak up the sun, hang out with friends and go for a picnic. You can also rent a boat and go for a row in the pond.

On a sunny day the park might be quite full but it is easy to find a quiet place.

It is also a nice place to go jogging or exercise in. Casa de Campo is a good place for jogging too but I find El Retiro more beautiful and more fascinating.
