Palacio Real de Madrid (the Royal Palace of Madrid)
The Royal Palace of Madrid is a beautiful building next to the city. It is also possible to visit there inside. Normally the ticket costs 10 € but for a student it is 5 €. Anyway, if you are not willing to go inside, it is a worth of visit to just see it behind the gates and it's free.
Behind the palace there is a symmetrical garden. It was a beautiful place to just walk around and sit down.
Catedral de la Almudena (Almudena Cathedral)
Almudena Cathedral is a big Catholic catedral. There is full of beautiful paintings and statues and you can visit inside the Cathedral for free.
